Every great innovation begins with curiosity. Since 2019, LittleNTist has grown from a childhood dream into a platform dedicated to science, research, innovation, and inspiring young minds. Explore the milestones that have shaped this remarkable journey.

2019 — The Beginning

The journey of LittleNTist began with the boundless curiosity of six-and-a-half-year-old Arjit Amol More. During the 2019 monsoon, while returning from the market with his mother, Arjit noticed her struggling to carry shopping bags in one hand, an umbrella in the other, and use her mobile flashlight to see the dark road ahead. That simple observation sparked a question: "Why can't an umbrella have its own light?" The idea led to the creation of Illumbrella, his first innovation, which received widespread appreciation.

During the same year, Arjit launched the LittleNTist YouTube channel to share simple science experiments and demonstrations while developing creative projects such as a homemade telescope and other learning models.

What began as a childhood curiosity soon grew into LittleNTist a platform dedicated to science, research, innovation, and inspiring young minds.

2020 – Curiosity Finds a Purpose

The COVID-19 pandemic became a turning point in Arjit's scientific journey. While the world searched for answers, Arjit began observing everyday challenges through the eyes of a young problem solver. Inspired by the importance of health and nutrition, he explored the properties of okra and encouraged healthy eating as part of a stronger lifestyle. Watching sanitation workers serve society with courage during the pandemic, he proposed that unused helmets could be donated to help provide an additional layer of protection while performing essential duties.

Confined to home during the lockdown, Arjit spent countless hours reading, experimenting, and learning about science, discovering how a single scientific breakthrough, such as a vaccine, could protect millions of lives. This realization transformed his childhood curiosity into a lifelong mission to use science and innovation for the betterment of society.

2021 – Building Scientific Foundations

As the world continued to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, Arjit Amol More's scientific understanding grew stronger through continuous observation, experimentation, and learning. Every new concept inspired fresh questions, while every experiment deepened his appreciation for the role of science in improving lives. During this period, he also expressed his admiration for scientists through an original poem celebrating their relentless efforts in developing life-saving vaccines.

The poem received wide appreciation and was honoured with an academic award, becoming an early recognition of his ability to communicate the value of science beyond the laboratory. This year laid a strong foundation for his future journey in research, innovation, and scientific communication.

2022 – From Learning to Leading

In 2022, Arjit Amol More's journey expanded beyond experimentation as he embraced the responsibility of sharing scientific knowledge with others. Through the LittleNTist YouTube channel, he simplified scientific concepts and emerging technologies, making subjects such as renewable energy, human biology, physics, and environmental science engaging and easy to understand for young learners.

At the same time, his growing concern for the environment inspired him to actively promote cleanliness and responsible civic behaviour. As a Swachhata Monitor, Arjit led cleanliness awareness drives in his school and local community while using digital platforms to encourage people to protect their surroundings. His commitment to sustainable living also inspired the development of an eco-friendly automatic cardboard dustbin, which received recognition at the school level. This year reflected an important transformation—where curiosity evolved into leadership, and science became a means to educate, inspire, and serve society.

2023 – The Rise of LittleNTist

The year 2023 marked a turning point in Arjit Amol More's scientific journey. Through the LittleNTist platform, he began explaining complex scientific concepts from Chandrayaan-3, Aditya-L1, Samudrayaan, physics, chemistry, and renewable energy—in a simple and engaging way that made science accessible to students and the general public. Series such as Physics Ki Train and The LittleNTist Show reflected his growing passion for inspiring scientific thinking among young minds.

Alongside science communication, Arjit transformed his childhood innovation, Illumbrella, into an advanced solution by integrating solar-powered mobile charging, improved lighting, and features supporting street vendors and everyday commuters. The innovation earned First Prize at the District Level Science Exhibition, where his scientific thinking, presentation skills, and practical approach received widespread appreciation.

The year also brought public recognition. Interviews on Akashvani (All India Radio) introduced him as "Chhota Shastradnya" (Young Scientist) and "Balvaidnyanik," while his innovative ideas and unique style of explaining science gained admiration from Mangrulpir to Mumbai. By the end of 2023, LittleNTist had evolved from a childhood nickname into a recognized scientific identity—representing curiosity, innovation, and the mission of making science understandable for everyone.

2024 – The Year That Changed Everything

The year 2024 marked a transformative chapter in Arjit's journey, as innovation evolved into scientific research, leadership, and social impact. His dedication to scientific learning earned him the prestigious Gold Medal in the Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition, one of India's most respected science talent programmes. Rather than treating the achievement as a personal milestone, Arjit transformed it into a mission to inspire more students to participate. Through the LittleNTist platform, he simplified scientific concepts, demonstrated practical experiments, explained examination techniques, and introduced action research, helping countless young learners prepare for the competition and strengthening his identity as a trusted young science communicator.

The same year also marked another remarkable milestone when Arjit's first peer-reviewed research paper, "Orange Peel: Eco-Friendly Alternative for Sustainable Fashion in Hair Accessories" was published in the International Journal of Science Research. Published at just eight years of age, the research reflected his growing commitment to scientific inquiry and sustainable innovation, earning appreciation from researchers and academicians. This research paper reflects Arjit's philosophy of innovation, observing real-world challenges, identifying problems, and developing practical, science-based solutions.

Driven by the belief that innovation should create positive social change, Arjit also initiated two community-focused initiatives through LittleNTist. "Mitra Garjuncha" (A Friend in Need) encouraged people to donate usable clothes, school bags, and other essential items to those in need, while "Sakhi Paryavaranachi" (Friend of the Environment) promoted the use of eco-friendly fashion accessories among women as a step towards sustainable living. These initiatives highlighted that science and innovation are not limited to laboratories, they can also inspire compassion, environmental responsibility, and meaningful community action.

These growing contributions of Arjit were further recognised by the Vidarbhiyan Association, honouring the positive social impact of his work. By the end of 2024, Arjit had emerged not only as a young innovator and researcher but also as an inspiring science communicator and socially responsible leader at his age, encouraging young minds to use knowledge for the betterment of society.

2025 – Inspiring the Future

The year 2026 marked the beginning of a larger scientific vision for Arjit Amol More. His dedication to innovation was recognised with the prestigious INSPIRE–MANAK Award by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, along with a scholarship that encouraged him to continue transforming ideas into meaningful innovations. His upgraded innovation, Illumbrella 2.0, secured top honours at the District Level INSPIRE–MANAK Science Exhibition, earning him the opportunity to represent the district at the State Level Exhibition in Bhandara. Although the innovation did not progress further, Illumbrella 2.0 attracted remarkable attention and appreciation from visitors, educators, and fellow innovators, demonstrating that impactful ideas often leave a lasting impression beyond competition results.

A defining milestone of the year was Arjit's participation in the CSIR–Jigyasa "One Day as a Scientist" programme at the CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, inspired by the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to nurture scientific temper among young minds. Spending a day alongside scientists and experiencing world-class research laboratories transformed his perspective on science and innovation. That one-day experience became the inspiration behind his first book, Jigyasa: From Curiosity to Clarity, which was formally released by Dr. Ashish Lele, Director, CSIR–NCL, Pune, and Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Director (Human Resources), MSEDCL.

Today, Jigyasa: From Curiosity to Clarity is available to readers worldwide through more than 140 global publishing and distribution platforms, extending Arjit's message of curiosity and scientific thinking across the globe.

During the same year, Arjit also participated in the Viksit Bharat Buildathon and the Atal Innovation Mission's School Innovation Marathon, further strengthening his commitment to innovation-driven nation building. By the end of the year, LittleNTist had evolved beyond a science platform into a vision dedicated to research, innovation, scientific temper, and inspiring the next generation to transform curiosity into meaningful solutions for society.

2026 – National Recognition & New Horizons

LittleNTist entered its most defining chapter as years of scientific curiosity, research, engineering innovation, and public engagement received recognition at both national and international levels. In January 2026, Arjit was honoured with the 'International Excellence Award 2026' for his book Jigyasa: From Curiosity to Clarity, recognizing his contribution to scientific writing and the promotion of scientific temper among young readers. The year begins with one of the biggest milestones when he became a National Finalist in the prestigious 'Raman Awards', where his innovation Automatic Shoe Shiner received wide appreciation for its originality, scientific thinking, and social relevance. His innovation Gutter Guard & Sewage Cage System, developed to prevent drain blockages and urban flooding, earned him the INSPIRE-MANAK Award, from the DST-GoI.

Every year has added a new chapter to LittleNTist's journey—from childhood curiosity to nationally recognised innovation. Yet the most exciting discoveries still lie ahead. With every question asked, every experiment performed, and every challenge accepted, LittleNTist continues its mission of advancing science, inspiring young minds, and building solutions that create lasting impact for society.
